I had the opportunity to welcome candidates from the Real Estate Academy of Leadership (R.E.A.L.) to the Statehouse this week. Founded in 1995 by MIBOR (Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors), the goal of the academy is to help prepare candidates to be successful leaders in the real estate profession and in the central Indiana community. R.E.A.L. is a dynamic training program designed to expose participants to the principles of leadership as well as issues and trends in the community.
I enjoyed meeting with this group and discussing with them their role in the legislative process and how the laws affect them. I would like to recognize them for taking the initiative to continue their education, and I was honored to be part of their leadership training.
