The Johnson County Republican Women’s Club had a great weekend at the Indiana Federation of Republican Women’s (IFRW) Tribute to Women. Johnson County had a great group attend the dinner on Friday, August 7. IFRW honored Johnson County’s own Volly Burton and her commitment to our club and our party.
Indiana Governor Mike Pence, First Lady Karen Pence, State Treasurer Kelly Mitchell, and State Attorney General Greg Zoeller joined IFRW President Linda Hall in recognizing Volly Burton for her outstanding service and leadership in the Indiana Republican Party.
President Hall said, “The “Tribute to Women” is one way that Indiana Republicans can acknowledge the tremendous volunteer work women contribute to make a difference in Indiana. Republican elected officials and candidates realize the commitment of time and energy that Federation members have given to make their elections successful. The IFRW is very proud to recognize Volly Burton and her worthwhile political activities.
Johnson County also had a scholarship winner. Allie Abney was selected as an IFRW scholarship winner and Allie and her mother were at the dinner to celebrate too.
Thank you to those that attended and congratulations to Volly & Allie!
