Dear Friend,
If you missed the March 10 deadline to file for college financial aid, there is still time to submit your application.
The Indiana Commission for Higher Education announced the deadline to file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid has been extended until April 15 due to issues in the filing process. FAFSA information is used to determine state and federal financial aid eligibility as well as scholarship awards.
This is also a reminder that students who participate in the 21st Century Scholars program are required to file the FAFSA yearly in order to receive their financial award.
To complete the filing process, you will need your Social Security Number, records of money earned in 2016 and a Federal Student Aid ID.
The FAFSA can be easily filed online at www.fafsa.gov. If you need any assistance submitting the application, call 1-800-4FED-AID or 1-888-528-4719.
Sincerely,
State Rep. Woody Burton
