Jack was a very good sheriff. He was also an effective legislator.But more importantly he was a nice guy.You knew you could count on Jack. He was that kind of person.I will miss my old buddy and the good times I had with him.

Friday, September 12th, 2014I have had the opportunity to speak with many of you during my time as your state representative. We have become good friends which is why I want to share a personal update with you. My wife, Volly, recently learned that there is a cancerous growth on her kidney. She will be undergoing surgery on Monday.
In January, I participated in the Suits and Sneakers challenge at the Statehouse to help raise awareness of the fight against cancer. Little did I know, eight months later my wife would be fighting a battle of her own.I believe in the power of prayer, and I appreciate your prayers for our family during this time.

New Flag Pole
Friday, August 29th, 2014Volly and I were happy to help Jack Woods, a lifelong resident of Franklin, purchase a new flag pole and new flags. Jack has been a great help to us and all of Franklin for years.
Indiana Manufacturers Award

I was honored with the Indiana Manufacturers Association Award for Legislative Excellence. The Award and letter represent their appreciation for my support to Hoosier manufacturers during the 2014 Legislative Session. Only the members who voted 90 percent or more with the manufacturing community received the award. I am proud to support Indiana’s manufacturing community.
